These threads are loaded into a fine needle and inserted into the skin by a Skin Rejuvenate Cosmetic Injector. Once inserted, these threads trigger collagen synthesis for gradual skin tightening and rejuvenation. The reduction in fine lines and wrinkles becomes progressively apparent as the treatment stimulates your body’s natural collagen production. Collagen stimulation increases with the quantity of PDO threads used, making certain threads more suitable for specific areas.
Avoid vigorous physical activity or alcohol intake for 24 hours as this increases the risk of bruising and swelling. Ibuprofen, Aspirin and Vitamin E should not be taken one week before the treatment. Minimise sun exposure a few days before your treatment as sunburn or excessive sun exposure can increase skin sensitivity and increase the risk of complications. After booking and confirming your treatment, please make sure to complete the requested forms. On the day of your treatment, arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. After your treatment, your Skin Rejuvenate Cosmetic Injector will guide you through your after-care instructions, including recommendations for any products that could help prolong your results. Immediately following the procedure, it’s crucial to keep the treated area clean, and it’s normal for some individuals to experience minor bruising or redness. For the first 24 hours after the treatment, you should maintain clean skin and refrain from makeup application. Additionally, you should avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated area, and avoid exposure to intense heat or engaging in excessive exercise. Alcohol consumption and the application of skin care products with active ingredients should also be avoided during this 24-hour period. We recommended avoiding any heat-based treatments such as Radiofrequency for 3 months following treatment.
Treatment results are visible immediately and can last anywhere from 9 to 18 months though can vary depending on the individual. The threads naturally dissolve and are broken down by your body. We recommend a maintenance treatment 12 months after your initial treatment to ensure optimal results.
