How does the lip filler treatment work?
We use lip fillers that are based onmade of hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is naturally present in the body and is therefore well tolerated in injectable form. At your appointment, your treating practitioner will discuss the procedure, possible side-effects, the desired look you want to achieve and the costs involved.
The treatment time takes approximately 30 minutes including the application of topical numbing cream. We use an extra-strong numbing cream that works well and kicks in quickly. We provide you with an ice pack after your appointment to use, in order to help with any swelling.
The results last for up to6-12 months. However, the results vary for each person. For this reason, there are several different fillers that can be used in the lips. They differ in terms of their consistency and thickness and therefore may be associated with increased longevity.
